From the Manufacturer
Piko makes trains in Germany and has a wonderful reputation among those fortunate enough to play with their stuff. Here in the United States, they are imported and distributed by Silvergate. These models are done in weather-resistant plastic, but you’ll want to take them in at night and not leave them stationary long in the bright sun, these precautions will help the colors remain vivid. Whether you run on the lawn or knit your track into a rock garden, such brightly-colored cars are eye-catching, creating an attraction that moves. All of the Piko cars feature plastic wheels and truck-mounted hook-and loop couplers, painting and lettering are generally correct and quite colorful. Piko has long been known for producing structures, both kit and built-up. Once you get your track settled into something you like, you can situate buildings and add little figures to give your railroad some more life.
